Fire erupts at Al-Munira Church in Giza, at least 35 killed

A fire broke out at the Coptic Abu Sifin Church in Imbaba district on Sunday in which over 35 people were killed and 45 injured.

Meanwhile, an electrical fire broke out as 5,000 worshippers gathered at the Coptic Abu Sifin church.

Moreover, the fire blocked at entrance of the church that causing a stampede. Most of those killed were children.

President Sisi has directed all relevant state institutions to take all necessary measures and to deal with this incident.

Giza Egypt’s second-largest city is situated on the west bank of the Nile River opposite Cairo.

However, four fire trucks were rushed and firefighters began cooling operations.
