A massive fire erupted in the forest area near Modi Mill Flyover, Mathura Road in Central Delhi on Saturday evening, causing disruption to the movement of vehicles in the vicinity. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident.
The Fire Service department promptly dispatched a total of 7 fire tenders to the location. As per the Delhi Fire Service Department, they received a distress call regarding a fire in the forest near Modi Mill Flyover, Mathura Road.
“Seven fire tenders have been swiftly deployed to the scene. At present, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities,” stated officials.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic alert advising people to avoid the adjacent roads near Modi Mill Flyover. “Traffic Alert: Due to a major fire under Modi Mill Flyover along Mathura Road, traffic is disrupted on the carriageway from Ashram Chowk towards Apollo Hospital. We urge commuters to steer clear of this stretch,” posted the Delhi Traffic Police on X.
