Fire breaks out in Byculla building, 135 people rescued

On Thursday, a fire started on the third floor of the Mahada Colony building in Mumbai’s Byculla neighbourhood. According to Mumbai Fire Brigade officials, there were no injuries reported in the incident. Five fire department personnel arrived on the scene as soon as they received word of the fire and put it out. 135 people were safely rescued by the fire department from various floors.

According to Mumbai Fire Brigade officials, the fire was confined to the electric metre cabin, electric wiring, electric cable, electric installation, scrap material in the electric duct, garbage and refuse material in the garbage duct, etc. from the 1st to 24th floors of Stilt plus the upper 24th floor of the residential building.
