Navi Mumbai Police have filed a complaint against a butcher shop owner after a video surfaced on social media showing a goat with the name “RAM” written on its skin.
According to a leading daily, the goat, with the Hindu deity’s name written in yellow, was intended to be sold before the Eid al-Adha (Bakri Eid) celebration.
The footage, which quickly went viral, shows a white goat at the meat market with “RAM” written in yellow on its skin. The video also captures a group of people, likely from a Hindu organization, questioning the butcher shop over the incident.
