Jnanchand Gupta, the Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, has taken a significant step by announcing financial assistance of 50 lakhs from his discretionary fund to provide solid roofs for the poor residents of villages in the Panchkula Vidhan Sabha constituency. Gupta 6 made this announcement during the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ Jan Samvad program organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Bunga.
Gupta stated that an economic aid of 1 lakh rupees each would be provided for the construction of solid roofs in 20 villages of the Panchkula Vidhan Sabha constituency. He assured that this amount would be contributed from his discretionary fund.
He mentioned that soon, a three-member committee comprising the Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO), the sarpanch of the respective village, and a social worker would be formed. This committee would visit the villages, assess the damage, and submit a report. Based on the actual assessment of the damage, financial assistance of 1 lakh rupees would be provided to the homeowner for constructing a solid roof. This financial aid would be distributed in two instalments of 50,000 rupees each. He emphasized the crucial role of the sarpanch in accurately estimating the damage. It is noteworthy that Jnanchand Gupta has previously extended assistance to the needy and deserving on several occasions. Alongside his political commitments, he is dedicated to fulfilling his social responsibilities. Whether it is supporting the education of daughters, arranging marriages for girls from poor families, organizing religious events, or encouraging athletes, Jnanchand Gupta is always eager to assist those in need.”
