An official reported that four individuals lost their lives and two sustained injuries following a car crash into an electric pole in the Kanth area of Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
As per Moradabad’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Sandeep Kumar Meena, a vehicle traveling from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, crashed into an electric pole near the Kanth area of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, around 5 a.m., after midnight at approximately 2 a.m.
Four individuals tragically lost their lives immediately, while two others suffered injuries, all of whom were from the same family. The injured are currently receiving treatment at the district hospital, while postmortem examinations are underway for the deceased, he further stated.
Additionally, Meena mentioned that the driver of the vehicle, who was a family member, is currently in a state of shock and is undergoing questioning. During the interrogation, it was disclosed that he had fallen asleep while driving, leading to the vehicle losing balance and colliding with the pole.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, and additional details are anticipated.
