Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij expressed surprise at the approach of the Punjab government on the farmers’ issues. He said, “They are greatly surprised that the Punjab government issued a notice saying, ‘Do not send drones to our border,’ as if India-Pakistan has happened. If someone attacks our police and escapes to Punjab, cannot we go after and cannot catch them?”
While interacting with the media persons today, Vij said, “When these groups (farmers) marched from Amritsar, the Punjab government did not make any effort to stop them anywhere on the way. This means they want to create chaos in Delhi, do they want to go to Delhi and dance again at the Red Fort?”
At the Shambhu border where farmers gathered, Anil Vij said that the farmers say they will go to Delhi. Still, they did not talk when all the ministers and officials came to Chandigarh, so their objective is something else, he added.
Regarding the stone-pelting incident between farmers and police on Tuesday, Home Minister Anil Vij stated that a DSP and 25 police personnel from Haryana were injured, and a senior journalist from Aaj Tak news channel was also injured.
