According to police, four family members were discovered dead on Sunday under suspicious circumstances at their home in the Tripti Nagar locality of Nejar in the Udupi district of Karnataka. Authorities stated that the motive for the murder was unclear and that it did not appear to be a case of “murder for gain.” Udupi Superintendent of Police Arun K told reporters after visiting the crime scene, “At this point, it does not seem to be a case of murder for gain, as there is no missing property from the house.” A woman, her two daughters, and her son were among the deceased.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police were further looking into the case, they said.
Officials added that based on the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that Haseena’s husband worked abroad and she used to live at her residence with her three children.
