Family, friends & film colleagues hail SC order for CBI probe in Sushant case

With the Supreme court on Wednesday directing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the late actor’s family, friends and filmy colleagues hailed the move.

Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to Twitter and wrote, “Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just the beginning… the first step towards the truth! Full faith on CBI!” In another tweet, she wrote, “There we go! Finally! CBI for SSR!”

His other sister Meetu Singh also shared her thanksgiving through social media. “There we go! Finally! #CBIForSSR! #CBITakesOver.. Thanks all SSRians And Supporter,” she wrote.

Sushant’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande welcomed the decision and tweeted, “Justice is the truth in action. Truth wins.”

 A lot of celebrities from both TV and Bollywood came out in support of the apex court verdict. From Kangana Ranaut to Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra, they all posted #CBIforSSR showing their support to the social media campaign.

 Actor Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram and wrote, “#CBIforSSR.” Sushant’s Shuddh Desi Romance costar Parineeti Chopra wrote, “All that is needed, is the truth. #JusticeDorSSR.” “May the truth always prevail,” actor Akshay Kumar tweeted.

Kangana Ranaut who has been sharing her views and support, also took to her social media and tweeted: “Repeat after me, depression ka dhandha chalane walon ko public ne unki aukat dikhadi”. Congratulating “SSR Warriors”, Kangana Ranaut felt “such a strong force of collective consciousness” for the first time.

“Supreme Court’s order for CBI investigation of Sushant’s case is a ray of hope that the truth will finally shine,” actor Kriti Sanon wrote on her social media account.

Sushant’s close friend and Pavitra Rishta co-star Mahesh Shetty also welcomed the CBI verdict for Sushant’s death case.
