Former Chandigarh Pradesh BJP President and co-incharge of Himachal Pradesh BJP, Sanjay Tandon, took a step towards assisting the elderly by providing two wheelchairs for the Sector-25 cremation ground. The initiative was prompted by Pandit Gulshan Acharya, who highlighted the challenges faced by elderly individuals trying to reach the cremation ground on foot for the last rites of their family members.
Upon receiving the request, Sanjay Tandon engaged with the Secretary of Red Cross Chandigarh. Following this, Red Cross Chandigarh collaborated with Tandon, visiting the Sector-25 cremation ground and handing over two wheelchairs to Pandit Gulshan Acharya.
Present during the handover were Red Cross Secretary Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon, Deputy Secretary Jasbir Singh Lakhwinder Singh, BJP Chandigarh State Secretary Krishna Kumar, and other Red Cross employees.
