DRDO official arrested for alleged spy connections

According to Balasore SP Sagarika Natha, a DRDO officer was detained on suspicion of sharing top-secret defence secrets with a Pakistani woman spy has been remanded to police detention for four days.

The arrested officer DRDO has been identified as Balaram Dey. The Balasore police reportedly requested a five-day remand at Balasore court for additional incident investigation. Nonetheless, the Court allowed for four-day remand.

SP Natha made the following statement regarding the investigation: “After interviewing the detained officer, more information is expected to be discovered. The Integrated Test Range (ITR) officer Balaram Dey was recently detained, and the Balasore police are doing everything they can to gather information on his financial dealings and assets “.
