Empowering Panchkula: People’s Front strives for community well-being

Former Executive Officer of Municipal Corporation Panchkula, social activist OP Sihag, along with other enlightened citizens, has launched a new non-political platform named “People’s Front Panchkula.” The primary objective of this initiative is to advocate for the common people of Panchkula and work towards the improvement of the city and its surrounding areas.

O.P. Sihag, the newly appointed president of the front, expressed that the formation of People’s Front Panchkula was driven by the realization that concerted efforts are required to address the challenges faced by the residents of Panchkula and to enhance the overall condition of the city. According to Sihag, the People’s Front Panchkula aims to provide assistance to the people residing in the city and nearby villages and colonies. The focus will be on resolving issues related to cleanliness in the Panchkula Municipal Corporation area, as well as addressing concerns regarding law and order, roads, parks, streets, sewerage, street lights, parking, drinking water, and stormwater. The front intends to collaborate with officials from various government departments to actively tackle these challenges.

President O.P. Sihag emphasized that People’s Front Panchkula adopts a constructive approach, opting not to simply complain about government departments, officials, or the government itself. Instead, the front plans to engage with them, present the issues faced by the people in a proper manner, and work towards finding practical solutions. The slogan of People’s Front Panchkula encapsulates their approach: “Solution not complaint.”

The front has already appointed several officers who are actively involved in social service. Notable appointments include KC Bhardwaj as the CM Window, Surinder Chadda and Kartar Singh Elawadi as Vice Presidents, Ishwar Singhmar as the General Secretary, and Captain DV Singh, Narendra Jain, Satbir Dhankar, Manmohan Kamboj, Rajendra Mehra, Jagdish Tanwar, and Dr. RK Ranga in various roles. Sihag mentioned that more experienced individuals will be added to the front in the future, and they plan to establish a mail ID and WhatsApp mobile number for the public to submit complaints and problems.
