ED raids multiple locations in three states over alleged HUDA refund scam

In a major development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches at 18 locations across Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh as part of a money laundering probe linked to an alleged fake refund scam in the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), now known as ‘Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran.’ The federal probe agency officials are currently carrying out raids at premises in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district.

This investigation, registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), is connected to an estimated Rs 70 crore fake refund scam within HUDA.
The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran is under intense scrutiny, with at least six officials from the organization currently under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate.
