DSP found dead along canal in Jalandhar, probe underway

Authorities in Punjab’s Jalandhar district reported on Tuesday that a senior police officer had been discovered dead. The police reported that on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1, Dalbir Singh, the district’s deputy superintendent of police, had his mortal remains found in the Basti Bawa Khel Canal. “The head was marked by an external injury on the body. In order to shed some light on the cause of death, we are currently reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas, according to Balwinder Singh Randhawa, A-DCP-1, Jalandhar, who spoke with on Tuesday. He stated that additional research is being done. We’re waiting on additional information.
