Dr. Jitendra Singh highlights development achievements in Udhampur-Doda-Kathua constituency

Union Minister and BJP candidate for the Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha constituency, Dr. Jitendra Singh, emphasized the transformative development initiatives undertaken in the border areas during a mega youth bike rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morch (BJYM).

Addressing the rally participants, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted significant improvements in infrastructure and living conditions along the International border under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dr. Jitendra Singh credited the Modi government for initiating crucial measures to enhance security and welfare in border areas. He underscored the importance of recognizing border villages as “first” villages to honor their strategic significance and instill pride in the local population.

He noted that prior to 2014, residents along the border lived in constant fear due to cross-border firing and terrorism, often displacing families who sought refuge in inadequate facilities.

Under the Modi government’s tenure, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted a two-pronged strategy: zero tolerance towards terrorism and improving living standards for border residents. Notable achievements include the provision of family bunkers, road connectivity up to the zero line, mobile towers, and sanitation facilities.

Dr. Jitendra Singh criticized the previous Congress-led government for neglecting the aspirations of the youth along the International Border, highlighting disparities in job reservations compared to those along the Line of Control (LoC).

He emphasized the BJP’s commitment to addressing historical grievances, including reinstating the Dogra Certificate for recruitment into the armed forces, which had been revoked by previous administrations.

Reflecting on recent development projects, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted road construction initiatives that will benefit over 11,000 people in border regions, promoting connectivity and economic growth.

The rally, attended by local leaders and youth activists, underscored the BJP’s focus on equitable development and security enhancements in the Udhampur-Doda-Kathua constituency, positioning these efforts as critical components of the government’s broader vision for border communities.
