Expressing his views on Home Minister Amit Shah’s comment on Hindi Diwas about Hindi being a “unifier” language, DMK chief M.K. Stalin said that Shah should concentrate on saving Indians from Covid-19 more than saving Hindi.
Stalin questioned, “The home Minister claims that hindi unifies India! How is this possible in a nation which has so many cultures, getting unified by a language which is spoken in a few states? And also requested the home Minister to understand that hindi is spoiling the ‘Unity in diversity’ concept of the country.”
This comes after the occasion of Hindi Diwas, when the Union Home Minister said that Hindi is an unbreakable part of indian culture and is a powerful medium of national unity and identity.
