Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, conducted an inspection today to oversee the ongoing developmental works by Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) and the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department at Habbak. The visit also included an examination of beautification and feature development initiatives along Shalimar Canal and Nishat Sethu.
Accompanied by SSCL CEO Athar Amir and officers from R&B and Smart City Limited, the Div Com assessed the progress of the Foreshore Road at Habbak, focusing on the development of the 2nd Track under Phase-2, managed by R&B and SSCL.
During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner urged the executing agencies to expedite the work, ensuring the development and macadamization of the road for it to be declared open to transport before the onset of winter.
The Div Com also scrutinized the beautification and construction efforts along the Shalimar Canal. He emphasized the need to swiftly complete the construction of the tow wall and other pending developmental activities.
Additionally, the Divisional Commissioner visited Nishat Sethu, where he examined the progress of the pedestrian walkway. He instructed the concerned authorities to give the final touches to the ongoing work on the pedestrian walkway and prepare it for formal inauguration at the earliest. The thorough inspection aimed to ensure the timely completion and quality of these crucial developmental projects in Srinagar.
