The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a nationwide campaign aimed at soliciting suggestions to shape India into a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), with special emphasis on Jammu and Kashmir.
Tarun Chugh, BJP’s National General Secretary and In-charge of J&K Affairs, unveiled the ambitious initiative during a press conference in Jammu. Chugh emphasized the party’s unwavering commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for comprehensive national development.
The campaign aims to gather suggestions from citizens across 370 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, covering 285 blocks. Chugh outlined the goal of receiving approximately one crore suggestions from across the country by March 15, highlighting the party’s determination to achieve significant milestones under PM Modi’s leadership.
To facilitate participation, individuals can register their suggestions by giving a missed call to 9090902024. Subsequently, they will receive a link to submit their suggestions via written or voice messages, with additional options available through the NaMo app. Chugh underscored the multifaceted approach of the initiative, which includes deploying video raths to over 4,000 Assembly constituencies, establishing suggestion boxes at 10,000 locations, engaging with opinion leaders, and conducting door-to-door outreach by party cadres.
Acknowledging the importance of citizen input, Chugh stated that the suggestions would be directly reviewed by Prime Minister Modi to shape the roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’ from 2024 to 2029. In parallel, a manifesto committee has been formed for Jammu and Kashmir, led by Sunil Sethi and comprising prominent regional figures.
This campaign underscores the BJP’s commitment to integrating citizen perspectives into national development planning. It reflects India’s collective aspiration to realize the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Vishwamitra Bharat’ under the astute leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
