The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert regarding dense fog in Haryana. The department has placed 15 districts of the state on alert until December 23. Due to winds from the mountains, the cold in Haryana has increased not only at night but also during the day. With northwest winds blowing since Sunday evening, the maximum temperature is continuously falling in the state. Meteorologists predict a drop of up to 2 degrees in the minimum night temperature. The icy winds from the mountains will intensify the cold in many districts of the state.
The 15 districts of Haryana under the haze alert include Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, and Karnal in North Haryana; Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, and Mewat in the South and Southeast; and Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, and Jind in the West and Southwest. Weather experts advise people traveling by vehicles in these districts to be more alert in the morning and evening.Due to a light western disturbance forming in the mountains, there is a chance of a cloudy sky at isolated places in the state from December 21st to 22nd. The Meteorological Department states that the weather is expected to change again in a day or two in the state.
