Delhi Police detained two juveniles for the murder of a man who refused to give them Rs 200

According to police, two young people were arrested for reportedly killing a guy in Patel Nagar in central Delhi when he refused to give them Rs 200 for gaming.

They added that when the victim, Arun Panchal, resisted their robbery attempt, they killed him with the assistance of an accomplice who is still at large. The juveniles, who were 15 and 13, claimed they wanted the money for gambling.

On Sunday, the three youngsters attempted to rob the victim when they were in a park in Patel Nagar. According to authorities, the accused used a knife, iron rods, and bricks to kill the victim when he resisted the robbery attempt.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police gathered CCTV footage from surrounding neighbourhoods as part of the investigation. Three people were involved in the incident, and it was discovered after reviewing the video that they killed the victim using a knife, iron rods, and bricks.

“During the interrogation, the juveniles confessed that they demanded Rs 200 from Panchal for gambling, and when he resisted, they forcibly took the money from him. Thereafter, there was a quarrel between them and they killed Panchal,” she added.

The third suspect, named as Ravikant, is still at large, and police are making efforts to find him, they added, noting that the knife used in the crime has been seized.
