In a significant anti-narcotics crackdown, Delhi Police‘s Northern Range Crime Branch has dismantled an interstate drug smuggling network, seizing 120 kg of marijuana (ganja) worth approximately Rs 40 lakhs. The illegal consignment was being trafficked from Odisha to the Delhi/NCR region.
Two suspects, identified as Sahab Singh (29) and Pradeep Kumar (29), both residents of Haryana, were arrested. Sahab Singh, the primary supplier, had customized his truck with a secret compartment to hide the drugs and is also wanted in a similar case in Haryana. His associate Pradeep aided in the operation, sourcing the marijuana directly from Odisha’s forests and delivering it to dealers in the Delhi/NCR area.
Based on intelligence and technical analysis, police received a tip-off about a large marijuana shipment arriving in Narela. During the search, officers uncovered six plastic bags containing 120 kg of marijuana.
