The Delhi High Court issued an order seeking that the trial court accelerate the 30-year-old case and resolve it within a year.
The case involves a FIR filed in 1993 for alleged cheating and other offenses.
Surprisingly, the High Court directed that the matter be tried as soon as possible in 2006.
In a decision issued on a petition against the trial court on Wednesday, Justice Jyoti Singh denied a request for day-to-day hearings in the case.
However, the Additional Standing Counsel (ASC) submitted that on account of two revision petitions having been filed in this Court, the trial could not proceed further till 2015.
