From Thursday, chambers in Delhi High Court can be accessed by lawyers on an odd-even basis as it will be opened from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Only one lawyer will be allowed access to one chamber office, while 2 lawyers can go to their respective portions of shared chambers.
Only one assistant or a junior accompanying a lawyer will be allowed to enter the chamber block. Wearing of masks, gloves and strict social distancing have been made mandatory. Entry and exit would be permitted only from one gate, while infra-red thermometers would be employed to check body temperature at the entrances of chamber blocks.
Lifts will carry only two persons at a time, and will only go to floors allowed to function at that particular time. Lawyers intending to use their chambers will have to enter their details in the registers at the entrance of every chamber block. However, no intern, client or service personnel will be allowed to enter chamber blocks; neither would any kiosk, canteen or consultation room would be allowed to open.
