In a joint operation with Delhi police and Gujarat Ant-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Afghan nationals were arrested with 8 kg of heroin. The 56 crore heroin was seized from the Lajpat Nagar area in Delhi.
Meanwhile, the accused who has been arrested has been identified as Hakmatullah Noorullah alias Aman.
Moreover, SP (Operations) ATS, Sunil Joshi gave the information about the accused Noorullah, and said, a team of ATS along with the Indian Coast Guard intercepted a Pakistani boat (Sakar) off Jakhau Coast on 8 October 2022 where they arrested six Pakistan nationals with 50 kg heroin worth 350 crores.
“After we nabbed Hakmatullah, he confessed about 8 kg heroin he was hiding in a car,” Joshi said.
“We have seized the heroin and are investigating the case. We are also looking for other suspects who were roped in for transportation of the contraband after it landed on the Gujarat sea coast,” Joshi stated.
However, for about four years Hakmatullah is in India on a tourist visa and was here to receive the consignment.
