The Rouse Avenue court ordered accused parties’ attorneys to visit CBI Headquarters on Thursday to review unrelied documents in the Delhi Excise policy case. The CBI case involving Delhi’s excise policy was postponed by the court until November 22. Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody was also extended by the court until the next hearing date. Counsels may view the documents at the CBI office from 2 to 7 PM on each working day, as per a schedule created for their convenience by Special Judge M. K. Nagpal.
The court also directed the counsels to email requests to the Investigating officer. Thereafter, the IO shall make a schedule for the inspection of documents.
The court directed the CBI to supply the hard copies of the second supplementary charge sheet to one of the accused. It further directed the agency to supply the soft copy of the second charge sheet to some of the accused.
The court said that you (counsels) need not file an application. You may mail directly to the investigation officer (IO).
The court also noted that the IO is claiming that the copy of all the charge sheets and documents as well as deficient documents already supplied.
The attorney for one of the defendants stated that the supplementary charge sheet’s soft copy has not yet been given. Another attorney claimed that the second supplementary’s hard copy has not yet been provided. The IO, however, stated that the same would be provided within a week. He added that the counsel had also received the list of unreliable documents via emails. The court further ordered the CBI to provide the list of URD of additional charge sheets. The copies were returned by one of the attorneys who claimed they were not paginated.
