The Delhi Police nabbed a traveler with 6 live cartridges at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday, according to police officials.
“A passenger Amrish Bishnoi travelling from Delhi to Dubai on an Emirates flight was detained on Tuesday at Delhi IGI Airport,” the police said.
Amrish Bishnoi, who was on his way to Dubai from Delhi, has been identified as the culprit.
According to the police official, the accused does not have valid documents for the carriage of the six live rounds. Following the event, a case was opened at the IGI airport police station under Section 25 of the Arms Act. More information is awaited.
