An extortion demand for Rs 5 lakh was made to a jeweler in the Chandni Chowk neighborhood of Delhi, who recently reported the incident to the Delhi police. The jeweler from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk’s Kucha Mahajani neighborhood allegedly received threatening WhatsApp messages from a man posing as gangster Aman Sahu on Tuesday (August 30) at 1:30 pm, according to the police.
The police further stated that the caller threatened the jeweller with death and harm to his family members if the extortion money was not paid.
Currently, a complaint has been filed by the jeweller at the Kotwali police station, however, an FIR is yet to be registered, according to an official.
