Before the legislative assembly elections in Rajasthan, the BJP government launched the ‘Nahi Sahega Rajasthan’ campaign. However, a while ago, a poster from the BJP government went viral, featuring a farmer’s photo without his permission.
After the photo went viral, the farmer, Madhuram, stated that his image was used without his consent and that he didn’t owe any debt, as displayed in the poster. Due to this poster, he faced a significant loss of reputation in his village and has been quite distressed.
On Monday, Madhuram filed a defamation case against the BJP in the Ramdevra police station and demanded action. He also demanded action against the BJP Jaisalmer District President, BJP Block President, and party officials. The police have registered a case under section 500 of the Indian Penal Code against the BJP.
