Death toll rises to 53 after consuming spurious liquor

In the latest update, around 53 people lost their lives after consuming spurious liquor in Bihar’s Saran district.

After this incident, a ruckus was created in the parliament on which Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “There is a full effort to impose liquor ban in Bihar. People were dying here when alcohol was not prohibited, so we enacted the ban.”

Earlier on Wednesday, many people in Bihar lost their lives due to the consumption of spurious liquor hooch.
