In a crucial announcement, Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan emphasised the mandatory registration for farmers under the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” initiative. This registration, conducted through the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, is a prerequisite for farmers to access the various schemes offered by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, as well as the Horticulture Department.
Deputy Commissioner Sarwan highlighted that the portal is currently open for registration, urging farmers to promptly provide comprehensive details about their crops. The registration encompasses a variety of crops, including wheat, mustard, sunflower, pulses, vegetables, horticulture, and agro-forestry. The deadline for this registration is set for the 15th of February.
Furthermore, Sarwan clarified that in the unfortunate event of any crop losses experienced by farmers, it is imperative to register on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. This registration not only facilitates compensation for crop losses but also ensures farmers can avail themselves of the benefits offered through other schemes administered by the Agriculture and Horticulture Department.
This initiative underscores the commitment of the local administration to streamline processes and provide timely support to farmers, acknowledging the vital role agriculture plays in the community’s well-being. Farmers are encouraged to adhere to the deadline and leverage the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal to maximize the benefits available to them through government agricultural and horticultural schemes.
