Upon receiving complaints from Sangle Sahadeo and Suresh Kumar regarding online fraud related to mobile recharge and installation of third-party mobile apps, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit swiftly initiated an investigation. Both victims reported losses totaling Rs. 1,09,000.
Under the leadership of PSI Moin Khan, the cyber investigation team exhibited advanced technical skills and dedication, leading to the successful recovery of the defrauded amount.
District Police Kishtwar reiterated its appeal to the general public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious online activities to the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930 or contact the CCIU unit Kishtwar at 9103416100 or PCR Kishtwar at 9906154100, 9103454100. Citizens are encouraged to lodge complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in and www.ceir.gov.in for lost or stolen mobile phones.
