Reports of a concerning trend among young individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 have been surfacing in recent times.
According to Dr Dilip Soni, a respected physician in Sujangarh’s Bagad Hospital, the COVID-19 pandemic, which has persisted for over two years, is now showing an unusual impact on people’s bodies, particularly affecting the youth. Dr. Soni highlights that, over the past year, there has been a significant increase in cases of heart attacks among individuals aged 35 to 40, especially those who had previously contracted COVID-19. These heart attacks have proven to be so severe that many patients are unable to reach hospitals or higher centres in time for treatment.
Another concerning effect seen in individuals post-COVID-19 infection is the increased incidence of blood supply blockages in the hip bone, causing significant complications. Dr Soni points out that this condition has worsened compared to the pre-pandemic period.
Furthermore, cases of impotence, or erectile dysfunction, have seen a significant increase in the past year and a half. These effects on the reproductive system are believed to be associated with COVID-19.
