Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue of Chinese transgression in eastern Ladakh. The reason for the fresh trigger was a report in a national daily as per which the Defence Ministry officially admitted Chinese transgression in Ladakh sector in May this year.
While quoting this news report, the former Congress president accused PM Modi of lying to the county and tweeted: “Why is the PM lying?”
As per the news report, the document which was uploaded on the website of MoD acknowledges Chinese incursion into the Indian territory in Ladakh in May. As per the report, the document on the MoD website said: “The Chinese side transgressed in the areas of Kugrang Nala (near Patrolling Point-15, north of Hot Springs), Gogra (PP-17A) and north bank of Pangong Tso on May 17-18.”
