Congress is likely to come up with appointment of the state executive and district heads soon

Haryana Congress, a divided house in the state, has failed to come up with prolonged organisational appointments, especially of district presidents. Ahead of polls, Congress high command approved a list of Pradesh Election Committee on Sunday which has been relieving for the state leadership to some extent as the ruling faction including the saffron BJP and its ally JJP has been taking on the main opposition party Congress terming the feud among the Congress leaders as the key factor responsible for the much awaited pending organisational appointments.

On the lines of the constitution of Pardesh election committee, political affairs committee, manifesto committee , the state Congress is believed to come up with the appointment of the state executive and district heads of the party which was pending for a long time regarding the parliamentary elections.

However, it will not be less than an uphill task to come up with the same in view of prevailing feud among the party stalwarts. It is noteworthy that as many as 33 district heads are to be appointed in 22 districts. Besides, several senior vice-presidents, vice-presidents, general secretaries and secretaries may be appointed in the new executive of the Congress.

It is pertinent to mention that a maximum 3 district heads will be appointed in Ambala whereas in some districts 2 each and in some one district head will be appointed. Notably, for more than 9 years, State Executive and District Presidents have not been appointed in Haryana Congress.

Due to this tussle among the leaders, the Congress high command has not yet been able to take a decision regarding the formation of the executive, but now after the formation of aforementioned committees, there is a possibility that the Congress high command is likely to appoint the state executive and district presidents soon.

It is a noticeable fact that factionalism in Haryana Congress was out in the open in all meetings held with the state incharge and party high command . One again the swords among the Bhupender Singh Hooda and the leaders of opposite factions namely Kumari Selja, Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Chaudhary Known as SRK are out over the battle of dominance as well the the supremacy in the state congress adding to the woes of the national leadership of Congress.

Earlier, the tussle between supporters of all factions in the party at all the meetings surfaced several times even in front of the party high command and the meetings aimed at starting the process to constitute the party organisations including the district units could not reach to any conclusion.

Notably, it has been the bickering within due to which the party has so far failed to do so.
Ahead of polls, the Congress high command has approved the proposal of constitution of Pradesh Election Committee along with Political Affairs Committee, Manifesto committee and Disciplinary committee of Haryana Pradesh committee as a part of elections’ preparations.

Notably, Bhupender Singh Hooda and aides have a stronghold in the state Congress.which is evident from the appointment of committees. It is noteworthy that on Sunday Pradesh Election Committee of 24 members has been formed under the chairmanship of state Congress president Udai Bhan.

Similarly, Ex-Officio Members include. President, Haryana Pradesh Youth Congress, President, Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress, Chief Organizer, Seva Dal, Haryana and President, Haryana NSUI.

In this series, Political Affairs Committee of 51 members has been constituted under the chairmanship of state party incharge Deepak Babaria, . Similarly, the Election Manifesto Committee and Disciplinary Action Committee also have been set up on Sunday.
