On Thursday, during the current phase of the Model Code of Conduct, the municipal council in Didwana City took significant measures against persistent illegal construction activities. Specifically, the municipal council seized four commercial complexes for their unauthorised construction in the commercial market. Notably, the complex owners have been cautioned about potential police and legal actions.
It’s worth noting that, despite the Model Code of Conduct being in force, unauthorised construction of two markets was underway in different locations across Didwana City. Upon receiving this information, a team from the municipal council, led by Commissioner Rohit Kumar Meel, arrived at the scene with the assistance of the police and successfully halted the illegal construction. Additionally, a notice was issued to the market, raising concerns about rule violations, ultimately resulting in the seizure of four commercial complexes.
Commissioner Rohit Meel of the municipal council highlighted that numerous complaints about these illegal constructions had been ongoing for some time. Even after issuing nearly 20 notices and imposing restrictions on the builders, they persisted with their illegal construction activities. Consequently, the municipal council took action by seizing four markets due to their unauthorised construction.
