Chief Minister Manohar Lal, while interacting with the participants of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra participants through video conferencing here on Sunday said that ensure maximum participation in the yatra and take advantage of both central and state government schemes. He stated that the objective of this yatra is to bring India into the category of developed nations. Currently, there are approximately 37 countries out of nearly 200 in the world that fall into the developed nation category. The Prime Minister envisions that by the time the country completes 100 years of independence in 2047, India will also be in the category of developed nations, where the needs of every citizen are met, said Manohar Lal. The Chief Minister emphasised that when every citizen receives necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, education, health, and respect in an accessible manner, our country will be truly developed.
Manohar Lal said that in a democracy, the government must work for the welfare of the people. Any difficulties faced by citizens in availing various facilities and schemes should be addressed in a way that makes their tasks simple, and it is the utmost responsibility of the government. However, during the previous governments, people faced difficulties in obtaining government schemes and benefits. They would get tired of making numerous rounds in government offices, and still, they wouldn’t receive any benefits. Not only that, they had to endure the curse of corruption, said the Chief Minister. Manohar Lal stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to establish more than 2 lakh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to provide employment opportunities to people. In Haryana, the state government has also devised a plan to establish micro-industries in every block. Additionally, around 65 lakh women are associated with self-help groups in the state, producing small goods and selling them through fairs and markets.
Manohar Lal stated that they are progressing towards 7-star development in Haryana, focusing on shiksha, suraksha, swasthya, swabhiman, swavalamban, SEWA and sushasan. Based on this, the Government is providing various services to the citizens. However, due to the narrow thinking of previous governments, three Cs- Corruption, Crime, and Caste-based politics flourished, which now have been eradicated to a great extent. Previous governments dragged people into caste politics and divided them based on caste, however, we have always ensured the holistic development of Haryana, said the Chief Minister.
Manohar Lal shared that in April 2023, the Jan Samvad program was initiated in Haryana to resolve common people’s complaints and provide amenities. He said that he conducted around 115 such Samvad programs, and other ministers, MPs, and MLAs also organized Jan Samvad programs. Thus, more than 1,000 programs have been held. A total of 8,300 programs were planned to cover all villages and wards. However, during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, we have integrated the Jan Samvad program with this Yatra. He stated that on November 30, 2023, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Haryana was formally launched from Fatehpur Billoch village in Faridabad district. Since then, around 5,099 programs have been conducted, with over 37 lakh people actively participating. The remaining 3,300 programs will be completed by January 25. He said that the ‘Modi ki guarantee ki gadi’ is reaching every village, and a large number of people are benefiting from it, informed the Chief Minister. During Yatra, health check-ups for 642,000 people were conducted, and 7.35 lakh Ayushman cards were issued. Director General, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Mandip Singh Brar and Joint Director (Admn.), Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Gaurav Gupta and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
