CM promises to deliver on healthcare commitments, highlights new facilities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, on the 9th Ayurveda Day, gave the gift of projects worth Rs 12,850 crore related to the health sector to the country from the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi. Also, under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, senior citizens of 70 years and above will now get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. In the program, virtual foundation stone of eight critical care blocks was also laid in Rajasthan under PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma joined the program through video conference from RBM Hospital, Bharatpur.
Sharma targeted the previous Congress government and said, “Congress made only false announcements in its manifestos, but we will fulfill every promise of our Sankalp Patra.”
While wishing on Dhanteras, he said that Lord Dhanvantari is also considered the God of AYUSH. The CM said that the foundation stone of critical care blocks has been laid in Bharatpur, Dholpur, Chittorgarh, Churu, Sirohi, Hanumangarh, Karauli, and Bundi. These blocks will be built at a cost of Rs 211 crores. These blocks will be equipped with facilities like ICU beds and operation theatres. Also, a provision of 867 crores has been made for critical care blocks in 33 districts of the state. The Chief Minister said that due to the efforts of the Prime Minister, Ayurveda has got a new status in the country today. He believes that every person should get quality health facilities, and the cost of treatment should be minimal. With this thinking, a new revolution has started in the health sector in the country.
He said, “Senior citizens above 70 years of age will be able to get free treatment by getting health coverage, due to which our elders will no longer be dependent on anyone for treatment.”
He said that many elderly people in the state will get the benefit of this scheme.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working with the goal of strengthening medical facilities and providing better health facilities to every needy. Under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana, 73-day care packages have been included for serious diseases like cancer. Along with this, the best practices of other states have been included under the scheme, which has made this scheme more beneficial and effective for the common man. He said that more than 11 thousand 500 health welfare centres in the state have been converted into Ayushman Arogya Centres. To provide treatment with respect to the elderly, the state government has started ‹Ramashraya› wards in 49 district hospitals.
