JAIPUR: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, women and girls were able to travel for free on Rajasthan Roadways buses. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal for free travel for females in the state on 29 August. With Gehlot’s decision, on the day of Raksha Bandhan, women and girls were able to travel in all Rajasthan Roadways buses free of cost, including ordinary and express buses, along the state border. The state government also reimbursed the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation’s (RSRTC) cost on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
