On June 11, 2024, at approximately 10:52 am, Sub-Inspector Laxman Upadhyay of CISF, while on duty at Boarding Gate No. 06 at IGI Airport New Delhi, observed a passenger, Mr. Balbir Singh, who was scheduled to travel from Delhi to Vancouver on Vistara Flight No. AI-185 (STD 0720 hrs), suddenly collapse and lose consciousness.
Sub-Inspector Laxman Upadhyay immediately administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to Mr. Singh, with assistance from other CISF personnel at the airport. As a result of this prompt intervention, the passenger regained consciousness.
The swift actions of Sub-Inspector Laxman Upadhyay significantly improved the passenger’s condition. The doctor from the T-3 medical room arrived quickly and provided initial treatment. Subsequently, Mr. Singh was transported to Medanta Hospital Gurugram by ambulance for further medical care.
The alertness and prompt action of the CISF personnel were crucial in saving a precious life.
