There will be a reduction in crime control with the help of CCTV cameras, says DCP. 16 CCTVs have been installed at suspicious places. Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadri Kaushik, a special campaign has been launched at the police station level in the district.

CCTV cameras are being installed by the police to control crime with the help of society and the general public by identifying suspicious places. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, after analyzing the crime in Police Station Sector 20, found some places where CCTV cameras are required to reduce crime. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that where CCTV cameras are installed, the chances of crime are lower. Police station Sector 20 in-charge Bachchu Singh is installing cameras at different places with the help of local people.

All types of activities should be captured by the cameras because whenever an incident occurs, the police and people first check the CCTV cameras. CCTV cameras are very helpful, and cases can be solved on the spot with their assistance. The Deputy Commissioner of Police mentioned that, so far, about 16 CCTV cameras have been installed in the area under the Sector 20 police station with the help of society and the general public. Work is underway to install more CCTV cameras under the same campaign with the assistance of the society under the Sector 20 police station in-charge.

Police Station Sector 20 in-charge Bachchu Singh stated that this pilot project has been initiated under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Police Station Sector 20. Additionally, under this special campaign, police verification of all tenants, servants, etc., living in Police Station Sector 20 will be conducted.
