Cabinet minister Jimpa assesses healthcare in Hoshiarpur

The Punjab government is committed to providing better healthcare facilities to the people, and significant efforts are underway in this direction. The Health Department is being strengthened to deliver enhanced health services. Cabinet Minister Punjab, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, shared these insights during interactions with journalists while touring different wards at Hoshiarpur Civil Hospital.
The minister took the opportunity to assess the health services offered at the Civil Hospital. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Deputy Mayor Ranjeeta Chaudhary, Civil Surgeon Dr. Balvinder Kumar Dumana, SMO Dr. Swati Sheemar, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Satvant Singh Siyan, and other officials were present on this occasion. Minister Jimpa expressed satisfaction with the health services provided to patients at the Civil Hospital. Before this, he boosted the morale of blood donors by visiting a blood donation camp organized in the hospital premises.During the visit, the Cabinet Minister engaged in conversations with patients, gathering information about the facilities available at the hospital. He informed that a government medical college is set to open in Hoshiarpur, which will not only benefit the residents of Hoshiarpur but also those from surrounding districts. He directed the Civil Surgeon to ensure the provision of better health facilities in government hospitals across the district.
Appreciating the provision of free medicines to patients in the hospital, he praised the commitment of the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, to enhance healthcare services in government hospitals. He emphasized the government’s dedication to providing maximum facilities to patients in government hospitals under Chief Minister Maan’s leadership.
