HS Prannoy, an Indian shuttler, posted a photo of his bronze medal from the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships 2023. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Media shared a photo of Prannoy carrying his bronze medal on their X (previously Twitter) handle.
Prannoy had to settle for a bronze medal after losing to Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the BWF World Championships semifinals on Saturday. Prannoy lost 21-18, 13-21, 14-21 to world number three and three-time Junior champion Vitidsarn.
Prannoy secured a bronze medal for India by defeating World No. 2 and defending champion Viktor Axelsen in the quarterfinals on Friday in three games, 21-13, 15-21, 16-21. This is India’s 14th World Championship medal. There is one gold medal, four silver medals, and nine bronze medals.
