A theft case involving Rs 75,000 in cash and jewelry has been reported at the residence of former cricketer Yuvraj Singh in MDC Sector 4, Panchkula. The suspicion falls on a servant and maid employed at the house. Shabnam Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s mother, revealed that the housekeeper, Lalita Devi from Saketdi, and the cook, Surendra Pal from Bihar, are the prime suspects.
Lalita Devi and Surendra Pal, who also work at Yuvraj Singh’s Gurugram residence, had left abruptly during Diwali. Upon Shabnam Singh’s return to her MDC house, she discovered missing jewelry valued at Rs 75,000 from a cupboard on the first floor and noticed the absence of other items. Despite her efforts, she couldn’t locate the missing belongings. Shabnam Singh reported the incident to the police, who have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
