Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman delivered her seventh consecutive Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, marking the Modi-led government’s first Budget since their re-election in June.

With this Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman has surpassed Moraji Desai’s record of presenting six consecutive budgets. To date, she has delivered six annual budgets and one interim budget in succession.

On February 1, ahead of the 2024 general elections, Sitharaman introduced the Interim Budget, which detailed the extensive financial strategy.
