BSF Braveheart Lal Fam Kima Sacrifices Life Defending Borders

The mortal remains of the brave Border Security Force (BSF) Head Constable, Lal Fam Kima, who made the supreme sacrifice during unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramgarh sector, are expected to reach his hometown in Aizawl, Mizoram on Friday.
Lal Fam Kima, aged 50, succumbed to injuries sustained in the line of duty, defending the nation’s borders. The unprovoked firing occurred early Thursday in the Samba district, leading to the tragic loss of the valiant BSF personnel.
Hailing from Phuaibuang village in Saitual district, Lal Fam Kima had made Aizawl’s Durtlang locality his home, where he resided with his family. His untimely demise leaves behind a grieving wife and three children, who now face the sombre task of bidding farewell to their beloved patriarch.
The BSF, in a solemn post on X, paid tribute to Lal Fam Kima’s courage and commitment, stating, “Director General and all ranks of Border Security Force salute the supreme sacrifice of HC/GD Lal Fam Kima of 148 Bn who succumbed to injuries during unprovoked Cross Border Firing incident along the Jammu Border. Prahari Parivar stands by his family in this trying time.”
As the nation mourns the loss of a dedicated defender, the return of Lal Fam Kima’s body to Aizawl marks the beginning of his final journey, a journey that symbolizes honour, sacrifice, and the unwavering commitment to protecting the country’s integrity. The Prahari Parivar, the BSF family, stands united in support of Lal Fam Kima’s grieving family during this challenging time.
