BMW’s (LWB) Version Of 5 Series Unveiled In India, Launch Scheduled For July 24

After dominating the luxury segment with its Long Wheel Base (LWB) versions of the 3 and 7 Series, BMW has now expanded its tech-loaded 5 Series model into the same category. The vehicle has undergone a size increase, boasting enhanced dimensions with a length of 5,175 mm, width of 1,900 mm, and height of 1,520 mm.

According to information shared by the brand, the extended version is set to debut in the Indian market in July 2024. This new model will not replace the existing 5 Series but will offer additional choices for customers.

Expected Pricing

While the company has not revealed pricing details yet, it is anticipated to be in the range of Rs 90 lakh to 1.00 crore (ex-showroom). However, these figures are speculative, and precise pricing will be disclosed at the launch event.

Exterior Enhancements

The refreshed front fascia showcases noticeable changes, including the brand’s iconic twin headlights, illuminated kidney grille, LED headlights setup, and upgraded Daytime running lights with turn indicators. Reports suggest improvements in adaptive LED Headlights with cornering light and Matrix High Beam with glare-free High Beam.

Rear Design

At the rear, an L-shaped fully LED taillight arrangement adds elegance, along with a chrome strip between the units for a more appealing look in the segment.

Interior Upgrades

Inside, the model features an enhanced curved display comprising a 12.3-inch Information display behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch control display, seamlessly integrated into a unified unit. It supports wireless car connectivity technologies such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other notable interior elements include a flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads, premium ambient lighting, and a glass-finished round-shaped drive selector, among others.
