BJP’s Rahul Kaswan faces opposition ahead of Lok Sabha polls

There seems to be a growing sentiment against the sitting BJP MP in the state. A poster in Churu has stirred controversy in the local politics before the Lok Sabha elections. The poster features a photo of the current MP from Churu, Rahul Kaswan, with the text: “Modi Ji, Churu doesn’t accept MP Rahul Kaswan.”
After the defeat of BJP’s prominent leader Rajendra Rathore in Taranagar, discussions were ongoing in the district about allegations that MP Rahul Kaswan allegedly assisted in the defeat of the seasoned BJP leader Rajendra Rathore. Now, this poster has become a topic of discussion in various parts of Taranagar, creating ripples in local politics.
Following his defeat in Sadulpur after the elections, Rathore admitted for the first time that some of his party leaders played a role in the internal conspiracy.
During this time, Rathore stated that the public’s decision was acceptable, but many turncoats also played a role in his defeat. Although he did not name any specific leader, he gave the label of “Jaichands” (traitors) to some leaders within his own party, suggesting that their true faces would soon be revealed.
Rahul Kaswan belongs to a prominent political family in Churu, Rajasthan, actively involved in politics for several decades. He is the third generation of the Kaswan family in politics and is currently serving as a Member of Parliament from the Churu Lok Sabha constituency. Rahul Kaswan was elected as the youngest MP in 2014 and then re-elected in 2019 on the BJP ticket.
In 2014, he became the youngest MP at that time. Rahul Kaswan’s father has also served as an MLA four times and once as an MP. His grandfather, Deepchand Kaswan, was also a Member of Parliament.
Rahul Kaswan’s mother, Kamala Kaswan, has also been an MLA from Sadulpur. The three generations of their family have been actively involved in politics. However, now posters against Rahul Kaswan have escalated political tensions not only in Churu but throughout the state.
