BJP candidate Diya Kumari files nomination for assembly polls

On Wednesday, which was the third day of nominations, BJP candidate Diya Kumari submitted her nomination. To file her nomination, she was accompanied by a procession of hundreds of party workers in over 50 vehicles, who came from the Election Office on Sikar Road to the Collectorate.
During Diya Kumari’s nomination process, BJP Member of Parliament Ramcharan Bohra and MLA Kalicharan Saraf from Malviya Nagar were also present. Before filing her nomination, Diya Kumari addressed the party workers. She said, “I have been a legislator from Sawai Madhopur, and then I became an MP from Rajasamand. I have been in politics for 10 years, and I believe I have also undergone the fire test. After serving the people of Bharatpur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer divisions, the party has now given me the opportunity to serve the people of Jaipur. I am a daughter of Jaipur, and our goal is to form a double-engine government in Rajasthan.”
In her nomination, Diya Kumari declared her assets, which have increased by Rs 2.59 crores in the last four and a half years. When she contested the Lok Sabha elections from Rajasamand, she had mentioned her assets’ value as Rs 16.60 crores. This included cash, bank balances, savings accounts, policies, bonds, and jewellery.
In the 2023 nominations, her assets are now valued at Rs 19.19 crores, which includes jewellery, shares in mutual funds, money in different bank accounts, and fixed deposits.
