BJP announces central observers in Rajasthan

In the Chief Ministerial deliberations of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, discussions are intense, surpassing those of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. As political developments unfold from Jaipur to Delhi, the BJP has designated key observers. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey, and National General Secretary Vinod Tawde are among the appointed observers. They are set to arrive in Jaipur and engage in consultations during the Legislative Party meeting.
After the central leadership finalizes the Chief Minister’s name, it will be presented to all legislators. The proposal is anticipated to receive unanimous support from the legislators. The Legislative Party meeting is speculated to occur on either Sunday or Monday. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, along with BJP state president C.P. Joshi and other senior leaders, engaged in discussions in Delhi on Friday concerning election responsibilities and other crucial roles.
It is worth noting that this is the first time in the history of the Rajasthan BJP that there is uncertainty regarding the Chief Minister. Previously, this situation had never arisen. Earlier, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat used to represent the BJP as the CM face. However, from 2003 to 2018, during the Assembly elections, Vasundhara Raje was the face of the Chief Minister. This time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that the CM’s face will be of the Kamal (lotus) symbol.
As of Friday night, no information about the legislative party meeting was provided to the legislators. However, long-distance legislators are scheduled to depart for Jaipur on Saturday. They believe that the legislative party meeting will likely take place on Sunday. In this scenario, they are coming to Jaipur without official information so that they can attend the meeting on time. The process of legislators arriving at the BJP headquarters is consistently ongoing.
It is assumed that the new Chief Minister will take the oath before December 15. After the legislative party meeting, the BJP will present a claim to form the government, and along with that, the date for the oath-taking will be decided at Raj Bhavan. Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony are also being made at the administrative level. Discussion is ongoing regarding whether the oath-taking will be held at the Legislative Assembly or Albert Hall.
Discussion on Deputy Chief Ministers along with Chief Minister
Sources indicate that in light of the impending Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is contemplating the appointment of two Deputy Chief Ministers alongside the Chief Minister. There is a possibility that a woman leader’s inclusion could be part of the new leadership. Additionally, the first Cabinet meeting after the swearing-in ceremony is expected to hold significance, as crucial decisions will be made to convey the government’s message to the people of the state on behalf of the BJP.
