Rattan Lal Kataria, an Ambala MP and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, died on Thursday at a government hospital in Chandigarh. The tragic news of Lal’s demise was confirmed by his wife Banto Kataria.
The three-term legislator was admitted to Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). He had been in critical condition for several days. Earlier on Wednesday evening, former Tripura Chief Minister and BJP Haryana in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb visited Chandigarh PGI to inquire about the 72-year-old’shealthand to wish him a speedy recovery.
